A Caring Community
Giving Day is an opportunity for the Sask Polytech community to come together in support of our students. Funds raised will go towards the Student Emergency Fund to help those in greatest need.
In the spring, the Sask Polytech community rallied together to raise $50,000 for emergency student bursaries to support those facing unforeseen hardships brought on by the emerging pandemic. Thank you for your support!
The Need is Real
The crisis is not over. Your support is needed now more than ever. Students continue to face a loss of income from a lack of summer jobs and reduced employment options due to business closures or reduced operating capacities. The financial burdens have led to increased stress for students in meeting most, not just a few, basic needs. This includes rent, food, books, tech/internet, family support, medical and much more.
Students are also facing the pandemic pressures head on. Social and physical isolation and home life demands are affecting mental wellbeing. Relieving the financial strain can help ease the burden.
Facing the Challenge Together
As part of the Sask Polytech community, it is important to stand together and help our students overcome the emerging challenges.
Your donation to the Student Emergency Fund can go a long way in helping alleviate life’s hardships our students are still facing due to COVID-19. No matter how much you give, it all makes a difference. Your donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar. An anonymous donor has generously offered to match all donations up to a maximum of $20,000.
You don’t have to wait until Giving Day. You can donate to the Student Emergency Fund today! Show your support and help our students rise above the current challenges to achieve academic success.
