Innovative Manufacturing Centre - Where Industry Visions Become Reality

The Innovative Manufacturing Centre (IMC) is an integrated, multi-campus, network of facilities that incorporate established and emerging manufacturing methods and technologies that meet the current and future needs of manufacturing in Saskatchewan.

The IMC will provide an environment where innovation can thrive, and will ultimately result in a Saskatchewan manufacturing sector and workforce that can and does embrace the future.

The IMC includes:

  • Teaching facilities furnished with state-of-the-art CNC and manufacturing related technology-based equipment.
  • Teaching and research facilities focusing on Automation Technologies such as Robotics and Mechatronics.
  • Non-Destructive Testing and Metallurgy facilities.
  • Facilities for Biomaterials Testing and Prototyping for bioplastics and polymers.
  • The integration of Additive Manufacturing equipment into existing facilities for research and prototyping purposes.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic finds itself at the cusp of completion for the IMC. Support is need to fully establish the facilities that will serve as the incubator for the next-gen manufacturing work-force. Additional renovations must take place, and additional equipment purchased and installed in order to complete the IMC.
