International ag machinery manufacturer Vaderstad donates $60K air seeder to the new Agriculture and Food Production program

Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Agriculture and Food Production program in Moose Jaw received an important piece of equipment to enhance student training. The program was looking to purchase an air seeder. Ag machinery manufacturer Vaderstad learned about the need and gifted an air seeder worth over $60,000.

A 2012 Seed Hawk 30 Series air seeder was delivered to the program in September 2022. The fully functioning 30’ air seeder was completely serviced and refurbished with new air lines.

Bryan Sarauer, program head says, “We thank Vaderstad for their generous donation. The air seeder will provide students with the opportunity to operate locally utilized equipment as well as learn the proper techniques on how to optimize seed planting settings for the best growth potential.”

This was the first donation to Sask Polytech from Vaderstad. The ag machinery manufacturer sells equipment world-wide and is headquartered in Sweden.
